On your Mac, you can drag items you use often to the Dock or the Finder sidebar to keep them handy. When you do, an alias for the item is placed there. Add an item to the Dock: Drag apps to the left of the separator line (in front of recently used apps, if shown).Drag and drop folders to the right of the separator line (after recently used apps, if shown).

Instashare helps you distribute your files in the blink of an eye
Not too long ago transferring files was more of a chore than something we all did on a daily basis with ease. The times have changed, of course, and now it's easier than ever to share content from one individual to another, cross platforms and through a series of methods.
Instashare is a cross-platform app that will solve many of your problems with a simple drag and drop of a file. Transferring files with this app is available for users of iOS devices, Mac OS X, Android and Windows.

Easy like A-B-C

The app itself is extremely simple, with a clean interface that makes everything that much easier. We found the entire process extremely easy to figure out. Basically, you don't have to be tech-savvy to figure out how to share files.
What's cool about Instashare is that you don't have to depend on any kind account with the likes of Google, or even to share your email address. Users can take advantage of the local Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, although this latter feature is only available for iOS users. In this manner, the app only looks into those devices that are connected in this manner.
This is both an advantage and a disadvantage. On one hand, you don't have to register in any way and the files don't reside on a server somewhere, but on the other hand open Wi-Fi networks aren't necessarily the safest. Of course, if you use a secure connection, then things change for the better. Even so, with this risk present, Instashare is a great solution for anyone seeking to send over some documents or pictures.

Special features for iOS 8

iOS 8 users will be happy to know that for them, the app comes with an extra feature that enables them to share files from anywhere on their phones via the extension. All you have to do is go to Photos, for instance, choose a pic to send, open it and click the 'Share' button. From there, go to the 'More' menu and activate Instashare to add in the button. From there on out, everything is even easier.
This is one of the best file transferring apps we've ever encountered, and on top of this, it receives a lot of bonus points because the entire process takes place between devices, without making any kind of copies in the cloud.

  1. Instashare is a drag-and-drop file transfer utility. Simple File Sharing - You don't need to be tech-savvy to share files. Works Without Internet - You don't need to be connected to Internet, just use local Wi-Fi or Bluetooth to transfer file. Simple to Use - No need to pair devices or setup transfer.
  2. Download Instashare Air Drop and enjoy it on your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. ‎ransfer files the easy way, just drag & drop the file and we will handle the rest. Like Apple AirDrop, but works and on all major platforms and computers that don't support AirDrop.
  3. Instashare for Android. Better AirDrop for your Mobile and Desktop. You don't need to be tech-savvy to share files - just do drag'n'drop and we will handle the rest. Works cross-platform, with your iPhone, Mac & Windows PC. WITHOUT file type LIMITS. You can transfer any file type, any size. MP3, images, pdf, presentation and way more.

Instashare 1 4 3 – Drag And Drop File Transfer Software

Instashare is a simple way to transfer photos and files between iOS devices and Mac OSX.

EDIT: Instashare has not been updated for iOS 8 but works fine with iOS 7 and below (down to iOS 5.1.1).

Now I know what you are thinking, we can just use iCloud photo stream but in light of recent celebrity photo leaks some people may have turned photo stream off and still may need to transfer files/photos between devices. What about older versions of mac that don't have photo stream? Instashare has you covered with the OSX application that is easy to use, there is also a windows version in the works.

Emailing photos to yourself is another option but apple has a limit on the amount of photos that you can send at any one time, then you have to wait for the email to hit your inbox and then you have to save each photo, its just a big fat mess that can be avoided.

Instashare transfers photos/videos and other files over WIFI (local wifi, not requiring internet) or bluetooth, it does not write the files anywhere in the cloud and there is no registration. It is just a really simple app that just works, and this is how, you have 2 devices, iOS or mac, you start the Instashare app on both devices (both connected to the same network or both have bluetooth switched on) you select photos/videos to be transferred (inside the instashare app, not the photos app) also supports photos in shared photo stream, once all the photos are selected simple press and hold on 1 of the selected photos and the app will look for the other device (that must have Instashare running at the time) and then you drop them on the selected device, The first time you do then the selected device will have to accept the incoming transfer and then after that there is an option to always allow that device to send files. To transfer from Mac to iOS its pretty mush the same, you select the photos on mac and then drag them up to the top on the screen to the menu bar where the Instashare icon is and then the iOS device will be shown.

That is pretty much all there is to it and best of all its totally FREE to download and use, the app is ad supported but you can remove this by purchasing the 69p in app purchase ($.99).
